finally got my transmission out, engine bolts were incredibly hard to break, (lots of spinach will always prevail) question should I switch out my 94 sensors into the 90 or leave as is,been informed that with the JWT ECU upgrade should be fine with my 94 TCU any thoughts Thanx:thinker

We have had so many conflicting opinions and experiences that I think the only way we will know is when you try it. You will definitely feel the wheelspin sensor go off in 1st.

I have a 91 active TCU/ECU combination in my 1990 standard Q. Works perfectly, even though many, including Jim Wolf, thought it might not.

It wont be real wheel spin he is just aying the light that indicates spin might come on since the earleir transmission has slightyl shorter 1st and 2nd gears.

No big concern really.

No! I'm talking about the "seat of the pants" sensor when you mash the throttle with that lower first gear. You should get quite a boost off the line from it.

Yes, off the line acceleration should be improved.

8% higher ratio has the effect of feeling like an extra 18-20 rear feet pounds of torque................divided among both rear tires......2% faster acceleration in 1st gear...........at least 0.1 second improvement to 45-48 mph probably double that because of faster TC spool up.

2nd gear is only 6.8% higher so the effects are slightly less, but 2 car lengths to 80-85 mph is significant.
