Towing 5200lbs with 2WD QX4

Hello,

I have a 2002 2WD QX4 Infiniti that is rated to tow 5000lbs. I just bought a wakeboarding boat that weighs 5200lbs with trailor. Does anyone know how close to the tow rating I must stay within?? Or, has anyone towed something similar in weight with a QX4 or Pathfinder?? Any recomendations??

I haven't towed anything with my qx4, acutally i will probably never tow anything with my qx4, however, when I used to own my pathfinder I used to tow things a little over the limit. You can never completely estimate total gross weight of what you are towing with factory specs. I say buy a transmission cooler. I had one and it kept the transmission at a good level when towing. That's one thing I hate about the QX4/Pathfinders are not having many gauges and voltage meters like american trucks. I guess they think we don't really tow anything. I noticed the Amarda and QX56 have them.
