Oh and I almost forgot, if you have 300 lbs of subs in the trunk to help keep the rear end even more planted to the road it would be no contest at all.
You mean like this J??

No offece to civic drivers , just the facts.
None taken...
True, the J has a stronger engine than my Civic. Another reason why I want one along w/it. But what really helps it is the i-VTEC & the transmission. Mine lasts from (I think) 4-6.5K RPMs & I have 5 gears to play with. BTW, how many gears does the Level 10 transmission have?
The way we race down here is more times often about the skill of the driver than about the mods. But I'm darn sure that a skilled driver & a well modded J can outrun my Civic. Facts. I've only been racing for 4 years, but I used to hang out @ the track every weekend. That's how I got my (limited) skill; practice, practice, practice.
Gr8Scott, I'd love to test drive your J. That will give me a better idea on what I want when I get mine.
BTW, yodawill2000 was right about the rolling start on the Js. I raced that same one in the pic in my old car ('94 Mercury Cougar w/3.8L V6) from a roll & I lost badly. I didn't have enough torque, plus the car weighed around 3,600 lbs; subs, amps & full interior. Talk about heavy!!!
