"Touchy" Gas Pedal -83.5 4x4 KC-New Guy

Howdy! Great Forum! My issue is a touchy gas pedal with a whole lotta jerking when I accelerate or let off on the gas. Any ideas?? Thanks!!!

Is the carb idled right? Or is the fuel filter clogged.Those are the first things that comes to mind.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I suspect carburation..I replaced the fuel pump and filter at the pump last year. I know enough to be dangerous about the carb. It has power and acceleration. It's just at application or letting off the pedal...the carb float maybe?? Any other feedback is appreciated! This truck has been sitting in the weeds for 3 years. I'm reviving it for my 17 yr old son. Ball joints and shocks on the way via UPS. I'll be a regular on this forum. You all are AWESOME!!!!

Run a tank of premium non ethanol gas through it. My truck
said thank you and runs a lot smoother now
