does anyone know where i can get a torque and hp versus rpm graph for the 1990 KA24E? thanks.

*shrug* anyone got a dyno of a stock engine?

I got one of mine thats modified, pre intake, coil and stuff....

but that wont help you much in what your looking for I dont think.-chet

what mods are on it? im basicly looking for where the hp and torque meet, cause thats when i was told is the prime shifting point

Umm...hp and torque ALWAYS cross at 5252 rpm. HP is derived from torque, HP = (torque * rpm)/5252 (or 5250 for you lazy *****ers). You might have been trying to say that a prime shift point put you at the same hp that you shifted from, but before the hp peak.

im sorry, but you just really confulsed me. am i to put my hp and torque in the formula and the rpm in that formula is the shift point, or if 5252 the best spot?

your shift point is 6600rpm(roughly according to my dyno), which results in your least ammount of lost HP or torque via the shift....and HP and torque do not always cross at that point, because torque stayed higher during my entire dyno you goober. :p-chet

ok, shift at 6600 RPM on the stock KA24E, and it will go fastest!
