I tried to search but didn't find anything specific to what Im looking for.

I have a 2015 SL with halogens and since it's paid off I want to upgrade the headlights to HID's. I found a local shop (very reputable) that quoted me for ~1300 retrofit job (includes polishig headlights and painting reflectors black.

But, before I pull the trigger on the retrofit job I was wondering if anyone had any luck fitting something like these https://www.carparts.com/details/Nissan ... lsrc=aw.ds on (or something similar), and what is needed to do so.

If it'll save me $500 and someone else has had success I'd much rather go that route.

Thank you!!

I haven't changed the lights, but I have changed the bulbs on my SL AWD with Halogens to LED.

I used these "HIKARI Ultra LED Headlight Bulbs Conversion Kit -H11(H8,H9), Prime LED 12000lm 6K Cool White,2 Yr Warranty" - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077B ... UTF8&psc=1 for the headlights.

I bought the "HIKARI LED Headlight Bulbs Conversion Kit-H11(H8,H9), 2019 New Gen of HIKARI, Adjustable Beam, 9600lm 6K Cool White,2 Yr Warranty" - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GK ... UTF8&psc=1
for the foglights and highbeams to match.

Both are street legal design (there are instructions to install them a certain way), light up the road like the LEDs on my Subaru and no one complains about me blinding them.

I tested a number of LED bulbs and the biggest issue was blinding setup and/or issues with radio interference with the crappy signal on the Nissan Connect Bose Navigation Radio. These work great and come with a 2 year warranty which is also hard to find at this price point.

Thank you!

Yes my biggest concern with LED is the scattered pattern and blinding other drivers.
