I have a 2007 silver Maxima SE. I have replaced the top trim pieces on my car two times due to discoloration. They are both doing the same thing again. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you replace them yourself? Do you use any kind of special cleaner or sealant? What trim pieces? You mean the dash?

The two trim pieces that go down the right and left side of the car top where the top and the door meet. I have had the dealer replace them. They start out crome then deteoriate into a nasty looking gray. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem.
