Hey guys. I hope you don't mine a Lexus gal posting here. I just wanted to check with all you G owners to see if your roofs make noise. I have a '13 Lexus IS convertible. When I first got it, it made no noise at all. About a year into it I got a lot of popping noise around my drivers window. They fixed that, now I have a loud rattle coming from my package tray area. I guess the reason I'm posting here is just to see if the G's have rattles too. Maybe I'm just expecting too much and it is just the nature of the beast.

I don't have one myself, but have noticed that in a friends G6 hardtop 'vert, it rattles A LOT when the temperature is cold outside.

You may want to crawl back there with the top up and start knocking around to see if you can replicate the noise and narrow it down from there.

It has been really cold here. If it gets above 60, the top is down. It doesn't make any noise then.

Hopefully it will be warm enough to ride with it down soon anyway.

They do make noise. It's a lot of flex going on in the top. Also foam around any wiring if you can. that's what I did. Sqeeking could be the seals and could just need lubing.

I'm new to posting on forums and I know that my topic has been beaten to death, but I haven't found any solid answers out there to the convertible hard top rattle issue. Perhaps there isn't one.

My issue: 2009 G37 convt - top rattles violently while it is up and driving over uneven/bumpy pavement. No noises noticed with folded down.

To keep it super simple:
Has anyone had success with either of the following ITBs? I may try to DIY this if I get positive feedback.

ITB11-035 (lube up the contact seals)
ITB12-003 (apply felt tape to every contact point)
