now my check engine light is on... any ideas ?my car guy said to check with the forum gods haha

Did you remove your O2 sensors? Check to see if the wires are connected to both and are in good order (not burned).

When you add testpipes, the O2 sensors/ECU don't like it. To keep it from coming on, you can add spark plug non foulers (from any auto parts store) between the O2 sensor and the bung on the pipes. Its very common.
