what's up peoples, I just wanted your thoughts. there is a 95 se for sale at the local used car dealership, saying carfax is available, and a warranty, but the car has 143k on it. it this too many miles? I'm already very suspiscious of these smaller dealerships. Is it worth checking out?

Well, it's not outrageous mileage if you break it down on an annual basis since it was new. You didn't mention price. Very common for these cars to go well over 200K without any engine work, but that assumes a good a routine maintenance program. Obviously at a dealership you likely won't have a maintenance history, so you might want a mechanic you trust to look her over if you're serious about buying. good luck

the car is listed at 4995. it's blue, looks ok, but I need it to run for about two years, the new motor prob. won't go in until then. will this post ensure that it will run that long?http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....ber=1NICO Forums - Car runs like new...here's what I did

I've also read up on the bushings, but I still don't understand; I've read that the nismo bushings were a bit stiff, but nismo says their not as stiff as the energy suspension ones. I may go for ES motormounts, but for suspension I may want Nismo. any thoughts?

Like I just said in another post, my stock SOHC KA has 196xxx miles on it and it still runs like a champ. I have not had one single problem with it since I got it about 4k miles ago. I live by the strategy "a redline a day keeps the mechanic away" and in autocrosses it is not uncommon for me to bounce the 7k fuel cut.

AJ-SPEC , If you take that car to a trusted mechanic (like Bubba1 said) and everything checks out alright. Keep good care of it and maybe throw some sea-foam in it. Its very likely to do you right for 2 years and more. Take a look at the mileage thread.

thanks for the replys, fellas. not sure if I'm gonna go for that one yet, I have to wait until next month when hopefully my car is sold.

Would you guys buy out-of-state? I found what could be a nice 95 se in OKC (I live in Dallas/Fort Worth-3.5hr drive obo.) How would you work out getting it checked out? It seems nice, but I am waiting on pics. it's aspen white pearlglow w/blue cloth interior, 98k mi. and asking 6800.
