Hey, i have a 95 240 sx with about 81k miles on it. Im wondering if its too late to turbo my engine? If it is, can i just get aftermarket pistons, rods, camshafts, etc. and then boost? Or should i just go and get a sr? Thanks in advance!

Get a compression test and/or leakdown test see how the motor is. (should be fine) Then you could put your own kit together or buy a nsport kit. Yes ther are lots of Rod,Pistons to pick from and you dont need cams but get some for a turbo app. and you will gain HP most of all you need to read about whatever you do before hand and see what you want/can have. And no wher not goin to tell you to get an Sr lol

1) Depends on condition...if a compression check and leakdown test are good, go for it. That goes for any mileage....80k or 200k.

2) Stock bottom end can take some decent power...search and you'll find the #s.

its never too late to boost. 81k miles is not bad at all, your engine should be fine. im turboing mine w/ 85k miles on it. i know people that turboed theirs with 150k+ miles on their engines.
