I'm new here, and about a couple months ago I got a 1981 Datsun 720 King cab that was in very poor condition. The carpet was neglected and looked like crap, the dash was all cracked and faded, front seats were just springs, and someone replaced the stock mirrors with ugly huge mirrors off of a mid 70s Chevy full size truck. The guy that owned it before the guy we bought it from fell asleep at the wheel and drove down a guardrail, which ripped a big whole down the drivers side under the rear side window. Since I got it, I've replaced the seats with ones out of a mid 80's bronco 2, replaced the dash and carpet, repainted the center console, rear panels, and the plastic piece on the steering column black. Tinted all the rear windows, and replaced those ugly mirrors with mid 70's Camaro mirrors, which I painted black. I also picked up a spoiler that I have installed on the bed above the tailgate which is also black. I replaced the stock rims with chrome rims off of a 1989 Dodge Ram 50. My future plans for this truck is to put a visor over the front windshield, put a Tonneau Cover on, and a Go Rhino Thunder Series Sports Bar with lights. Get the rip down the side fixed, weld a piece of aluminum over the area where that black plastic trim went between the rear side window and door, and then repaint it blue with black hood and roof. Then I need to find new door panels, and once I get those I am going to dye all the plastic panels (center console, steering column piece, all rear panels, the kick panels under the dash in front of the door, and the door thresholds) that i painted black, black, so that way the color wont come off. Then I want to replace the headliner with a nice new black one. I would post pics of my truck right now but i dont know how, but if someone can help me with that, it would be much appreciated.

The drive shaft should be easy to work out. You could go 1 piece if you were up for buying a new one.

It was, today me and my day jacked it up and took the drive-line out. We got the new bearing on, and also found out that we had a really really bad U-joint. If i drove it any longer it would've failed and broke a whole bunch more crap. Tomorrow we'll put it all back together and all should be good for awhile anyways.

Yes it is, and yes i did, so all around it was more like 60 bucks for the wheel and adapter, its served good use for the two years ive had it haha but its easier to steer with, if i had power steering like i did on my old white ram 50 haha but i like it :)

right on I'll get one eventually prolly next month once I tear into my steering column. not a bad price for a pretty wheel I think that's what I got for a price from the grant site. Oh I have arm powered steering and 55mph air conditioning and love it!

no not at all the only issue is I shattered my wrist some years back so it can be troublesome at times as the docs couldn't put it back together 100%
