Questions have arroused over this matter basically if it is really worth it paying the extra $$ for a High-Flow inake by Stillen vs. other good intake systems out there. I've done some homework and here are my findings:Lenntech.com (source) "In the restriction the fuid must increase its velocity reducing its pressure and producing a partial vacum." "Venturi injectors have no moving parts and are maintenace free. They operate effectively over a wide range of pressures (from 1 to 250 psi ) and require a minimum pressure difference to initiate the vacum at the suction part."So the venturi ring is to be installed at the filte end (suction part) not to increase air flow but to create a vaccum because the presure in the inake tube is lower than the one outside the benefit in creating such vacum is at take off but once at speed pressures inside and out tend to balance.

nice work with this, starting to make sense to me now. so let me make sure i got this, a real good intake system with the venturi ring may take that tenth off by providing more air, and thus power at take off over an intake without the venturi ring.

I think it makes a difference. I have nothing to prove my theory and have nothing to compare it to. I don't think you will be dissappointed.
