What's the best tires these days, I need 4 for 2015 rogue sl. Looking at Michelin defender 2?

some say that there are no dumb questions, but this is one.
1) what are your criteria? (roads you travel, mileage, money, which season, what is your driving...)
2) my personal favorites are Michelin CrossClimate series.

Round ones are the best these days. Need more info on driving habits and driving preferences to recommend a brand.
