Tires

On the last trip to my dealer, I've noticed that ALL Rogue SL AWD have Continental Tires but mine came with Dunlops. I was wondering how can this be possible. Any ideas? Was I given the wrong tires with the vehicule...

nope.

Mfg's make deals with vendors to supply product, and it's absolutely normal to have more than one oem tire supplier.

why? only an industry boffin would know the real deal, but it's safe to assume there are a number of reasons.

One, it's all about money, and the Mfg's can shop around to get, and keep, the lowest price per tire.

Second, availability. Even in a country like the US, it may be hard to find a vendor for your tire in every nook and cranny. I suppose you could order oems from the dealership, but that can't be a common option everyone uses
