Hello,

What is the difference between P205/65/R15 94T and 94S?

My car currently has the 94 T and i am finding good deal online for 2 X 94S

(by the way i just need to replace both the rear tires)

Is it ok to drive with the forward tires being 94T with the rear tires being 94S?

Thanks in advance

check out http://www.tirerack.com The S and T are speed ratings. S-112mph T-118mph The 94 and 95 before the S and T are load index ratings(meaning how much weight the tires can hold. 94-1477lbs 95-1521lbs

IMPO-I would go with the cheaper tires, unless you race your car "at the track"or autocross.

I wouldn't always go with the cheapest - even driving around town with crappy tires is not a good idea, especially when wet.

Post up a few tires you are looking at and then people can help you make a decision

Basically i looked at this website

http://www.bestusedtires.com/

for p205/65/R15 and i got some good deals for brand new tires as well as tires with 60-70% thread life.

Now most tires are available only as a single item i.e. i cannot buy a set of 2 or 4.

Is mixing and matching ok if all 4 tires are p205/65/R15 94 (T/V/S)

Further, if i look at reviews i am unable to decide on which tire might be a decent one for regular city driving.

i live in north seattle and drive 2 miles to work each way..lol

Thanks in advance

wrote that wrong. if he is looking at the same tire and the S is cheaper than the T, get the S

Thanks !!!

One more thing...

is 205/65/R15 92H the OEM spec on a 1995 Maxima or is it

215/60/R15 93H?

I got a used 1995 nissan maxima and it did not have an owners manual. I downloaded a 1996 owners manual online and it lists both the above tires as conventional tires for a 1996 Nissan Maxima.

I am a little confused if i should go for the 205/65/R15 92H or 215/60/R15 93H

Thanks in advance

205 if you have a gle or gxe and 215 if se models. depends on your rims though so make sure which ones you have - honeycomb, steel = gle, gxe and saw blades = se.

I was going more for the "don't buy the cheapest tire because it costs less" - that can put you in a bad spot sometimes. You always want to get a decent tire that gets good traction, but I agree with your speed rating point on the same tire.

I would not buy used tires - that has bad news writtten all over it - you don't know where they've been, what has happened to them, if they've ever been repaired, etc...too risky IMO.

You can always go to http://www.tirerack.com to find the best fitting tires for your car
