Does anyone know how large over stock tire size you can put on oem rims? I have a 2007 G35 coupe 6 MT and wondered how large I could go on tire size without front tires rubbing on hard turns. Rim sizes are 19x8 and 19x8.5 car handles like its on rails, but when its time for new rubber i would like a bigger footprint. Any suggestions would be great. PS. also have the active rear wheel steering, dont know if that would make a difference.

I think 275/35's are the widest...but that's for the stock 19's. I think you can go 30mm over stock in width...but it depends on how wide your wheel is.

245/35 -19 front275/35 -19 rear

I'm also thinking of going to 255/35 -19 for the front, but I'm not sure how that will look.

if you click on the specs tab of a tire on tireracks website it will give you acceptable rim widths for each size. If you guys need that much rubber you should really make sure you get some tires with stiff sidewalls because they are gonna roll over. If you think you need more grip it would be a better choice to go with a stickier compound or get wider wheels to keep a more square tire fitment. Buldging tires looks retarded.
