how often should i really rotate my tires and when i get them rotated how often should they be balenced

I like to have mine rotated every other oil change (approx 6,000 miles). They are checked for balance every time.

I also rotate every other oil change (6-8k miles) but do not have balance checked unless I sense a vibration.

The place I bought my tires from included that as part of their service for the life of the tires. Glad to be rid of the garbage they slapped on at the factory.

I get that service from America's Tire Store/Discount Tire. Great service. I know it's overkill, but the manager there actually told me they didn't mind, if I had the time, to stop by and let them rotate the tires and do all the tire maintenance things after every oil change. That way it's just become habit to stop there on the way home from the oil change with the vehicles they've sold me tires for.

I'm still running the Contis on the Versa, but if I still have the car when it needs tires I'll buy them from that store.

I have yet to get mine rotated, after 13,000 miles is already on the car, and I deliver... But my back tires are newer than the front.. I'm probably going to get them rotated when i go get my inspection sticker next month (Nissan never gave me a new one, they had the one from when the car hit the lot -.-)
