just picked up a set of anniversary style 5 spoke wheels (not sure what year car they came off of) and im not seein the tire pressures register on the gage... was readin around on here and it looks like some of the newer cars only have a low pressure indicator. can anyone here confirm what i might have going on & more importantly, know if i can swap the sensors from my old wheels into the 5 spoke ones?

If you think your having problems with the new sensors you can swap your old sensors in the 5 spoke with no problem. Or instead of having them swap out the sensors maybe you should take it somewhere where they can have it tested. Then if they are able to get the new sensors working sell your old ones. You can prob get $125-175 for them.

I take it that you have physically seen the TPS on your anniv. wheels? If so & they are not working you can take it to your dealer to be re-programmed to your car.

On th other hand, you can remove your old sensers & if you knew exactly which wheel they came off of...no need to be re-programmed...just make the switch. Example, right front wheel TPS, goes on the right front wheel only!

b.jaye....I just noticed that you have a '03.I almost certain that the '03's don't have the TPMS.

def wont pretend to know all options for all the years, but im 90% sure i got a performance equiped '03 (100% sure on the year ) with leather seats someone swapped in... as for the TPMS, its absolutely got it & worked perfect with the stock 6-spoke 18s. not to say it wasnt added, but i cant imagine thats the case

OK. I replied too quickly....the 03's with 17" wheels do not have the TPMS.You have to take it to your dealer to have them re-programmed....I would call several dealers first to see what they charge...not all dealers have the same price.
