My I30t has BF Goodrich Traction T/A'sThe G35 has Bridgestone Potenza RE-050A's for the summer and Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25's for the winter.

BTW, those steelies were not gloss black. i put tire shine on them, rubbed it in, and let it set over night to get that gloss look. i never put fugly hubs on, just beauty rings

i am running nan kang diamondbacks now, 245/45/17 (aftermarket wheels)

will probably go with nitto in the summer, 245/45/18 (stock murano wheels)

The only set of General tires I ever ran on the Max developed bad blisters and one eventually flew apart at 45mph.

I found a consumer reports that showed the H-rated Ziex 512 having a 4 out of 5 in the snow and a 3 out of 5 on ice. The V-rated 512's got a 3 out of 5 in snow and a 2 out of 5 on ice. This may explain why I am so dissatisfied with my Falkens as they are V-rated.

On both the Altima and I30 BFG Goodrich Traction T/A. I originally wanted the Yokohama Avid TRZ's on the Altima, but every place local sold them very overpriced and we got a good deal on the BFG's from Canadian Tire (free rotations, roadside assisstance, etc.)

Just fot the BFG's on the Altima a month ago and the BFG's have been on the I30 for over 2 years now. Their not that bad, well at least to me

My Maxima has ziex 326. Not the greatest, but I got a good deal on them.

Look like this:

They seem to do well in the rain and are not loud, but they don't really have much grip. I can take corners and slide right through if I am not careful. Definitely not enough tire for my suspension set up.

I also have a set of Cooper Weathermaster studded snow tires. They are excellent in the snow.

Previously, I had some Kelly Springfield EVO-Z tires, but I sold the tires and wheels a couple of years ago to help finance a Disneyland trip. They had excellent grip and I would say they were great summer tires.

That's actually why I got them. It's hard to find V-rated all-seasons in 205-65-15. The Falkens were the cheaper V-rated option.

I've got ~22,000 on mine now and I imagine I'll need to replace them after another 10,000. The problem is I put >20,000 miles a year on my car, so that's a bit often to be replacing tires. I guess that's my fault, not the tires' though. I'm certainly not willing to go to some rental car rock hard tires just so I can keep the same set for 2 years. Maybe I'll try stepping up to the Toyos next time. If they wear better than the Falkens, the price hike will balance out.

I can't believe you don't have traction issues with them. A friend of mine drove my car last week and was like, "dude, your tires suck." I got them because they were 1/2 the price of anything else, but at the rate they are wearing they will last 1/2 as long, too. My tires are 225/50/17's and every time I get a quote they tell me what an odd size it is then give me a quote for $800 for a set of tires mounted. I think I will make it through the rest of this winter, but these are coming off before the next winter and I will be buying something with more dry and wet grip.

falken 235/45/17. I got em wrapped around my falken gunmetal 17s. They hug the road like a champ if u ask me. No chirps. Tires stick out half an inch over the rims to keep from curb rash. I think they were $110 a tire. Rubs the wheel well at full turns tho...

I've got these kelly no name tires in the front and michellen pilots in the rear. Unfortunatily I had no choice on my front replacements as I hit a huge pot hole at 4pm on a snowy sat afternoon a few days before christmas and trashed the michellen I had in the front and of course only 1 place was open and only had 2 tires my size. I will say that the kelleys are real nice extreemly quiet compared to the michellens great treadwear and handle awsome in the snow and ice. My rear tires are soon to be replaced and I'm gonna go with the same ones in the rear. Only I deffinatly wont go back to the goodyear shop I went to originaly cuz the service was awful. The owner sat watching TV while I waited for some one to come help me (I thought he was a customer) for twenty minutes. Plus they asked me the stupidest question I've ever herd from a mechanic "Which two do you want to replace the front or rear? I allmost fliped maybe the ones with the donut on in you effing retard. But anyway the kellys are real nice, just thought I'd share my horor story with everyone.

I have a question - it's one I've asked before but I want a better answer!

Moving now from my 96 I30 with 15 wheels to an 02 with 17 in wheels. I have 10 15-in wheels off my 2 previous I-30s, and good recent summer and winter rubber on both sets. I notice in browsing the tire reccies here that there is a wide variation of wheel/tire sizes. I would love to save some dough by using the 15-inch blizzaks on the 02, and i kn ow it might look a little goofy, but can it be safely done? I long ago ceased caring about goofy, esp. in winter!

Can definitely be done. In fact, for winter tires narrower is better, so you could even be better off with the 15'' blizzaks.

I plan on running 215-65-15 Blizzaks on 15x6.5 inch wheels on my Q45 this winter and it's a lot bigger (and heavier) than the I. For the I30, I'd go with 205-65 or 215-65 on the 15 inch wheels.

This tire sticks to the road like velcro. Except when there is a hint of snow. Then i am dead. Last snow storm i almost ran into an onramp wall going around 4 or 3 miles an hour.

It works great in rain as well.

Update - traded one of the G35 sedans for a 04 Coupe that has new Yoko S-Drive's on it. So far, they are great!!! Sticky, good tread, good in wet.4K miles on them so far.

I've got the Falken Ziex 912s and I'm very happy with them great grip both wet and dry and not too bad in the snow either. They are super quiet and handle pretty well my only complaint is the sidewall is kinda soft and there is some serious tread squirm driving in reverse but beside that these are awsome tires for the price. $108 for 225/45/18s.

Pirelli p-zero nero for me they are great in wet or dry, trash in the snow. very minimal road noise id reccomend them

I`m running Michelin Pilot Sport All Season. Fantastic tires in the wet, I have never, NRVER, had tires work like these on a wet road. this is my second set. I got nearly 50k on the first ones. If I didn`t have to go north in the winter to visit the kids I wouldn`t run all seasons, but still have to worry about snow. My only complaint is road noise which seems to get worsr as the tires lose tread. Maybe it`s more my thin wheel well insulation? rather than the tires.

245/40/19 Nitto Invos on my Nismo rims. Like them, but don't love them.

Next set may be Yoko s.drives, or Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas... when the time comes, it pretty much depends on which is cheaper.
