The Rogue back and rear windows are 20%. Unfortunately Virginia is one of the tougher states and requires 50% light transmission. If I lived in a state with 50% tint limits I'd probably push my luck and get 35% installed. It will be closer to the tint of the back windows and you might just get away with it.

Yep... Some states are lax... where others are strictly enforced.
In truth, its a rare exception for in any state for a cop to pull someone over for window tinting. In reality... its not the cops nab you... but your annual auto inspection!
Inspection stations use a light meter to measure the light transmission of your window film. If its too dark (by tint laws in that state) then your auto will fail inspection until the film is removed.
I really wanted 20% installed so the front windows would match the back but I live in North Carolina which limits its films to 35%. Rather than risk the expense of installing dark film... only to remove it when I fail inspection... I just told my installer to apply the darkest tint the law would allow. Its not as dark...but not that far off either. I'll try and post some pictures later today.
Wondering what the Tint Laws are where you live? Here's a link that provides tint laws by state.

SenorPayne7 posted a photo of his Rogue with 20% tint in front to match the back. Here are two pics of my Rogue with 35% film in the front so you can see how it compares to the 20% factory tint in the back.
