Timing Control Unit on 1997 240sx

Hey guys, ive tried searching everywhere for locations on this unit as my gauges and instrument lights went out a few days ago. I've tried going by this DIY http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/fix-fo ... ights.html but it seems like this was on a s13 because theres no white box underneath my fuse box. there is one slightly above towards the left but doesn't look exactly like it. It has 2 gold bolts securing to whatever. Any input on this would be much appreciated as I'm bound to get speeding tickets while driving at night, lol. thanks!
