I received a recall notice from NNA today for the Juke I no longer own.

It states "in some affected vehicles, the timing chain may deteriorate over time and distort. If this occurs, you will hear abnormal noises from your engine, which could sound like a rattle or ticking. If the abnormal engine noise is ignored, over time the chain could break".

Long story short it's a zero clearance engine, and it will not survive if the timing chain breaks.

NNA will replace the timing chain, at no charge for parts and labor. This is valid through October 30, 2015.

It also states that if you have already replaced your timing chain, you may be eligible for reimbursement.

Hope this benefits someone.

THANK YOU for the heads up! I need to call the dealer tomorrow and see if my model year is affected!
