Dealer states…..

There is oil seeping from the timing chain cover and to correct the leak, they must drop the engine.

Total repair cost >$3300

Car has less than 70,000 miles on it. Has anyone else had this issue? A lot of money on a car with average miles.

The cover can be done in the car but it's very tight and very challenging. I don't generally recommend it. However, it's very unusual for a QR25 cover to leak. Are you sure it isn't a spun front seal?
