Starting tomorrow, we will be on a huge effort to clean-up the CA forum. It has become unattractive with a gang of senseless posts that can be answered either by checking the sticky section or using the search button until your fingers turn blue. Posts/threads that appear to be petty and senseless will be governed and will be judged accordingly for deletion and/or locking, so if the shoe fits, take it off when posting here.

If a member starts a thread about installing his/her CA, but has no useful information for other members that is not in the sticky section, it will be locked and/or deleted because if everyone did a thread like this, it would turn into a Q&A with newer members asking "How did you do this" or please tell me how you did that; when all the while the information has already been printed in the past.

Some of you may see it as being harsh and you are entitled to your opinions, but it is time for this forum to get back to the business at hand. Feel free to comment as I will will not lock the thread and I ask my fellow mods to leave it open as long members don't get rowdy. If you do decide to get rowdy, you may subject yourself to being bannished form NICO, so govern your responses accordingly.

Thanks,

Dee

If someone posts a question, and states that they could not find the answer via the SEARCH button, and it gets answered... please put the given answer in one of FAQs. I think its fine and well that there's an effort to cut out the redundancy so long as the work is done on both ends.

(Come to think of it I've never tried posting to one of the stickies. If I have the permissions to I'll just do the above on my own.)

Maybe add a Search FAQ.

TO be honest most people get thrown by the fact that it has multiple ways of seraching. Most people just use the default which will result in nothing.

I.e. They end up searching in "titles only" of "recent content" of the entire forum.

Yes, it's sad that people don't read but the search on NICO is not intuitive, all the other forums I'm on you don't have to select anything to make it search everything and most people are used to this.

well done! maybe I should sticky this too right guys?

honestly, searching isn't rocket science... most people are too lazy to mess with the search settings when they can just post a new thread

I am fairly new to these forums and I like the search function here I have learned a bunch of stupid little things from the archives that I know you guys don't feel like repaeting over and over.
