OK, just a thought here....me being a 'function over form' kinda guy is wondering, are these cars being towed or pushed to their photo shoot, cuz I don't see them moving or performing? Maybe they're not as fast, or as quick, as portrayed, or maybe they weigh too much after all the add-ons. They are pretty to look at...thanks for sharing. ;-)

lol...you know what i find funny is you all think it takes a lot of money to have your G look like that. I could do most of those cars for about $6000.00. My car looks like that. lol. I will post some pics if some-one tells me how too. all of those cars will move....lol. the ones on the ground are just on air-bags. Most people dont know that they cost the same as new shocks and struts.

the trunks are easy to make too... if you do it yourself like i do it only cost about 100 bucks for the suplies and whatever you want to spend on subs, amps, monitors....

lambo doors... no more than 600 bucks...lol

It's nice to see what kind of hp potential your street car might have, given the right combination of parts, a big power adder like a turbo, lotsa money, and a professional tuner. Thanks for sharing the video of the dyno run and the weekend driving school video.

Getting back to the G's and the one 'cruising' in the video. Life at 20psi....the octane requirement, track endurance, and longevity of that motor are definitely in question. One of the guys (dknebes) we talk to on the 930 Turbo forums has a video of a 60-130 run. He used an AX22 GPS performance logger and got an accurate time of 5.2 secs! Of course it's done with big bucks, lots of tuning, racing fuel, and 20 psi also. He does not run this much boost on the street with pump premium.

I guess what I was trying to evoke was that there should be more effort placed in making these cars lighter rather than just keep adding weight to them. For example, a lighter Porsche 911/930, or Gen 1/2 Mazda RX-7 would only need hp in the 480 range to be in the same power to weight ratio of a G pumping 720hp on a dyno. Traction, of course, is another story....

Maybe so,but you'd even be better off with the porsche, but like you said, either way around you are looking at big bucks for either of the cars you mentioned. Although the venerable rx7 has perfect weight ratio (being that my prior vehicle was a mazda) they are known to melt down under boost. As a matter of fact the rx 7 engines are notorious for being bad performers under boost. Most go through an engine before they find a setup that works. One guy I knew had his in modified that was on the forum. Very nice rx 7 had his work done at Acosta racing in north jersey. First engine....went nuclear, second one does okay, and Acosta is a great shop. Then with the porsches you are already looking 70g's just for the car,not to mention any minor mods to make it a lethal track machine. I don't have any doubts that this engine with the same money spent that would get spent in either of the cars you mentioned would have the longevity and the power. Then again any track machines longevity as compared to a street machine is all relative anyway.
