I sell Nissans in Birmingham AL and I have sold two Jukes.

I sold the very first one our dealership got within 24 hrs of it coming off the truck.

I sold my second Juke today only after 6 hrs from being delivered.

Funny thing, the demographic Nissan said we'd see isn't what they said. Both my customers were over 50 and one gentleman was in his 60's and traded a Titan. I love the solid feel of this vehicle and its limited road noise at cruising speeds. We can't keep them on the lot. Please, NNA, send us 20 of them.

Todd

Good stuff Chris. You can be our "insider". Please post any good info you have on the Juke. Can you do a write up? How about a Rogue vs. Juke comparo? Thanks for joining us!

I will and would be happy to when I get a down moment.

Good news is walk-up traffic and traffic in general has started to really pick up.

Each Juke I sold was hard loaded and each customer was incredibly happy. And still keeping price under 26k for AWD, navigation and more.

To bad you have to feed it premium fuel. I really enjoyed my test drive but with premium costing .35/40 more per gallon I think this might affect sales.

I'm sure you don't HAVE to feed it premium, but if you don't, performance and fuel economy would probably suffer.

I put a downpayment on my Juke within 10 hrs of my dealership getting there first. Made them trade it for a Red one tho ao it took a few days before I actually got it. :naughty:

From the owners manual:
FUEL RECOMMENDATION
NISSAN recommends the use of unleaded premium gasoline with an octane rating of at least 91 AKI (Anti-Knock Index) number (Research octane number 96).

If unleaded premium gasoline is not available, you may use unleaded regular gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87 AKI number (Research octane number 91), but you may notice a decrease in performance.

Pretty common, actually. Happened with the Element, the Soul, the Cube, and now the Juke.

Our Cube gets a TON of attention from the over-60 set around here.

Welcome aboard, Todd!!!

I would suggest paying the extra .20 cents for premium, your price may vary (not sure where others live but I'm near Cleveland). Not using it will cause the car to retard its timing to compensate for predetonation. If you care anything about performance, you don't want to go that way. If you don't want to buy premium, I suggest staying away from turbo'd cars. Others have seen decreased gas mileage when using regular unleaded in the Juke.

On the demographics side, the majority of the buyers I've seen on another forum are well outside the projected demographics. I happen to be one of them.

I recently went thru full-serve and the a$$hole filled me up with regular when I asked for premium. After a long heated discussion, I walked away from the situation and my Juke got HORRIBLE mpg on regular. Def staying with Premium..plus there's some stations that are 3.00-3.09 a gallon for it....DEF worth it
