I started this thread about a week ago:http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....36951

What I thought to be a poorly greased wheel bearing…it now appears to be something different…

The noise is like a whining coming from the front driver side of the car (maybe other areas not sure)

It appears after 15-20 min of driving, hot or cold day night doesn’t matterIts not effected by barking, acceleration or steering.

What I found today, was that if you stop and turn off the engine, and starts it back up the noise disappears.

Anyone has an idea what can this possible be:help ?

this would be a perfect time for that snap-on tool i saw... about 10 different mic's with clips that you attach to areas where you think you hear a noise and a control box that turns each mic on and off. would definitely work here. there isnt much on the drivers side that could cause that... and the bit about shutting the engine off... wierd. check the clearance between the rotor and the caliper and look for shiny spots in the whole assembyl. youd have to do all this while the car is cooling down from a drive. otherwise, corrosion will start to appear and mask any shiny metal.

Update:

I took apart the brake system a few days ago, and couldn’t find any sighs of rubbing, I cleaned it a bit, and put it back together, so far (3-4days) i didn’t experience any noise. The noise might have come form a piece of dirt stuck somewhere, and when I disassembled the system, it got free.

So either way, problem solved.
