Thinking about getting another 240 but wanna rebuild from the ground up....

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

So im thinking about getting another 240sx but with the KA this time around..... im just woundering how much would a full rebuild of stock parts cost me cuz i wanna do it right and replace almost anything and everything and just go threw every detail of the car so i dont have future proplems.... im looking to replace almost everything mind you from internals and seals to sensors and wiring if its needed.... i was thinking 2-3k would be able to do this if its stock part but i wanna get all your guys opion first

Some advice.. The crank usually fine, you wont need to replace it as long as the motor hasnt been abused horribly. Rods too, its doubtful that you need to replace them.

With that being said, the weakest link of the Ka is the stock pistons. They are Cast and tend to break ring-lands fairly often if you get a simi serious case of detonation. The ka's rods are pretty beefy already, but thats your call.

So i would say get a set of aftermarket pistons but leave the rest alone.

Im also assuming that you want to go turbo eventually, if not, the stock pistons are fine. Your list looks good, GL with your build.
