What is the lowest I can expect a dealership to go on a 2012 G37 coupe journey w/premium nav and sport packages?

Request prices from three dealers on the internet.
Visit all three for test drives and negotiate with all three, Make sure you know the money factor and all the other lease parameters before you start, You will end up paying for the credit check buried somewhere in the lease gobblegook

Cheaper to purchase and pay cash which is a much more simple transaction.
I've never leased.

I found some good information on truecar.com regarding the average actual price people have paid for this car. I was also reading this: http://media.caranddriver.com/files/200 ... -rt-ss.pdf review of the 2008 sport G37 manual, and it kind of sickens me the retail MSRP has gone up 25% or $10,000 over the past 4 years. Has the car really changed that much? I know there is a 7 speed now instead of a 5 speed auto, but the 6 speed? Is this car really that much better now than it was 4 years ago?

What is the relationship between the yen and the dollar today as compared to 4 years ago?

I guess that makes sense, a dollar was worth around 100 yen in '08 and only worth around 80 this year. I'm betting it's because the dollar has been weakening over that time. It's interesting how this changes the price of cars actually imported from there vs. cars built here like Nissans.

FYI... I just signed my lease last night... Best thing that happened to me is asking another dealer for a price after I got a potential deal from the dealer I wanted to use (its 5 blocks from my house)... turned out there is a feud between the two dealerships so they were both eager to steal the deal from the other.

I got the G37x Sedan (w/ nav, Tinted windows, Remote Start, 3 yr maintenance & road hazard on the tires) and Ended up with ~$2500 down (down pymt, taxes, fees, first mo) and $355 for the next 38 months.

I found that knowing your credit is clear, that the sum of my payments plus the buy-back value should be close to the negotiated price of the vehicle (I was about $1500 over after I did the accessories)

Just out of curiosity, how much did you haggle them down off the msrp?

I have cooled on my local dealer, they only want to give me $1200 loyalty incentive off the sticker price, and claim it is only a $1200 deal for them. I don't believe that for a second, and will not even consider giving them my business if that's the best they can do. They stand to make at least $2000 just off my trade.

I might have been lucky too... my dealership was under their figures for the month.... they need to sell 125 vehicles and they were only in the 80's when I started talking to them a week and a half ago... if they don't make the number, they lose out big on a bonus from corporate.

Try another dealership... where are you located?

There is only one dealer within 100 miles of here, Little Rock, AR. I'm in no hurry, they will either call me back with a better offer, or I will look elsewhere, or maybe I'll just wait for a better sale.
