Poor baby Not diggin the S/N btw.Joey666Crack wrote:I have no room in this thread =[ I'm 18 and don't have the pleasure of getting a loaner when in need. Even though I live 45 minutes away from the dealership.
It's strange for me to switch back to automatic, my left foot and right arm feel out of place.Sentientbydesign wrote:

I've driven the 07 and 08 G35 sedans as loaners. The 08 is much better than the 07. Throttle is a hell of a lot nicer. I loved having the MPG meter as I could get mid-high 20s where I can barely pop 20 in my coupe.
My only beef about the 08 sedan was that the tires and suspension were loose and broke loose too easily (respectively). Having extra interior space, 2 additional doors, and an automatic was kind of refreshing (even though I love my MT).
I was lucky, mine was just them replacing the LED bulbs in the 3rd brake light, since I spotted it before I bought it, they had to do it for free(good because it was over the 4 year warranty).G_whizz wrote:Too funny that you started this thread. I'll be getting a loaner soon as my G is going in to have the Drivers seat replaced. There is an unusual amount of cracking in the leather so I have a new seat on the way!
Sweet...nice catch. It pays to REALLY inspect the goods before pulling away!biggie wrote:I was lucky, mine was just them replacing the LED bulbs in the 3rd brake light, since I spotted it before I bought it, they had to do it for free(good because it was over the 4 year warranty).
I have a 2 month old son who usually sits behind my wife (passenger seat), so having the automatic while trying to hold his pacifier in this mouth was nice.Joey666Crack wrote:

Probably has a lot to do with what state you're in. My experience was that the rental companies out here vary in their minimum age requirement and some will allow younger drivers, but will add a "young driver" charge to the daily rate.smockers83 wrote:I never had a problem getting a loaner when I first got mine and I technically wasn't old enough to get one...different dealers must be lenient on that rule.
I have an 08 x and the rain statement is true. One spot I do find that I wish it would kick in even earlier is when on wet grass. I find after a wash on my lawn with a slight incline that it will tend to spin the rear just enough to mess up the grass and sometimes the car regardless of how easy I try to take off. I may try the snow mode next if I remember to see how that affects it. I suspect the stock tires are a large part of this as they are not all that great in snow either. But on rain, blip the throttle a little bit, the lights will blink and you are gone.audtatious wrote:I currently have a 07-08 G35x loaner and find the suspension to be even stiffer than our G35s. Gave it a little run in the rain some on Sunday and love how the rear will start to spin and you feel the front take the slack. Works like a champ. I've had numerous G35 sedans for loaners and an EX35 which I liked fine but was not something I would get for myself.
