Reprinting this here as it really belongs in this thread rather than the Harry Potter Lego thread:

In other news it looks like the Mechwarrior reboot I've been aching for is on hold.
These two topics deserve their own threads.

I will nut all over a TIE fighter remake (or X-Wing, for that matter), and I'm super pissed that Harmony Gold and Smith & Tinker/Microsoft couldn't have settled this by now. The injunction is almost a year old at this point, and I WANT MY NEW MECHWARRIOR GAME.

j/k I like Star Craft 2, I hate the fact that I have to be on the net just to get my achievments :squint:

Not sure it deserves its own thread, but the world is officially ending.

Duke Nukem Forever has a release date and a gameplay demo that debuted at PAX.

Gearbox stepped up and said "we've got balls of steel."

Hasn't that game been in production for like 15 years? I thought it got canned yeears ago because the movie got s*** or the production cost was astronomical or something along those lines. I want to see a new Doom game for the next gen consoles.

It did get canned. Not years ago, MONTHS ago. 3D Realms (the creators of Duke and developers of DNF) fired the DNF team, announcing that the project was no longer under production. Production has now shifted to Gearbox software. Which is a good thing; Gearbox has a solid reputation (developed both Half Life sequels, ported Halo to PC with improvements, Borderlands, Brothers in Arms, etc.).

I still won't believe it's ever going to be finished until I'm actually playing it...and maybe not even then.

Backward. Starcraft predates Halo by 2 years. Yes I realize you were joking.

I finally got around to playing all the Fallout 3 DLC that I bought last year, had to get ready for New Vegas. I finished Borderlands a couple of weeks ago now I'm waiting to catch the DLC on sale again on Steam. I went to COD World At War after that...great game as I had never played a WWII game before. Finally I just finished DragonAge Origins last Friday so now I'm gonna get the DLC for it.

Just picked up Brutal Legend @ Target on clearance for $15 and picked up my pre-order of Medal of Honor Limited Edition so I'm good for gaming for the next few weeks. Plus I have a reserve on Fallout NV Limited to get on Tuesday.

I tried going back to Modern Warfare 2 after playing Medal of Honor... it took me five minutes of waiting to give up on getting into Hardcore TDM, after which I switched to Domination... and realized I don't like MW2 anymore.

Sorry, Ray, I just now noticed you posted this. If you're asking what I play, here's a list of what I'm playing now:

Starcraft 2
Civilization V
Minecraft

Here's what I'm getting ready to start:

Fallout: New Vegas
Dead Space (Steam had it for $10 on Halloween weekend)

Here's what I'm really really looking forward to:

Portal 2
Donkey Kong Country: Wii

Got Batman Arkham Asylum, Dante's Inferno, and AC 2 for Christmas. Stuck at the King Minos on Dante's Inferno and have become addicted to Batman Arkham Asylum. Sucks I have to go back to work tomorrow, would rather play Batman.

All the hype and Rage is a borderlands add on, WTF!

Seriously, this whole time they made it out to be falloutesque with drivable vehicles. I've got maybe two hours into it but already I can see even the game doesn't take itself seriously.

However, I will say that the graphics are amazing, especially the clouds and lighting effects. Also, I do like that when you shoot an enemy they visible react, there's none of this crap where you shoot someone 20 times all the while they're still running full speed until the fall down dead. When you shoot someone the flinch, hide, take cover, retreat, whatever a real person might do. Then after a couple good hits they go to the ground (like second chance in COD) but still continue to fire back

I'm currently on Elder Scrolls 4 and Saints Row 2 in anticipation of the next chapters of these games in less than a month.

Saints Row 2 is a brilliantly fun coop experience. Best enjoyed with cheats (to Hell with achievements).

The batsh&t nonsense attitude of SR3 pleases me greatly, because it tells me Volition understand what made SR2 great.

I just bought Battlefield 3, Forza 4 LCE, and COD MW3 hardened edition, all on release day (pre-orders are awesome) and the 15th is very close to my B-day so I'll have to wait until after Christmas to get this, which is fine, I don't want any other games distracting me from it's epicness.

SR 3 looks awesome, but I never finished the first one and have never played the second one.

Normally I mind my own business while I play online and I typically don't have random people try to add me on PSN but, while playing some MW3 I had someone add me, presumably because of my "USAF" clan tag and now the son of a b**** sends me game invites every five seconds, FML.

TRYING to finish Fallout New Vegas (but I got glitched, lost 2 of my teammates, and had to backtrack almost 7 hours of gameplay) so I got discouraged for a little bit.

I'm getting MW3 and Skyrim, so I'll be balls deep in those games for a while. I've been addicted to Dragon Age II and Army of Two 40th day (extreme spectrum opposites much?) Annnd that's all I have to say. I also got to play Forza using the super expensive $700 racing seat simulator thing, at my friends house. It's pretty fun. The steering wheel fights against you. Paddle shifters work better than the actual shifter does, and it's hard to stay on the track and shift, when your car is trying to run you off the road. Challenging. Fun. I like it.
