On behalf of the managing staff of the Non-Running RB Association I would like to welcome you all.

Here you will find the fortunate as well unfortunate members in which have join the ranks of the many whom which have one or more sleeping and yet to be awaken RB motor(s).

This is by all means a central station for those who need to vent their frustration and victories over the long journey that many have traveled and some which never finished.

This is a volunteering membership. And by all means if you don't like it, then get your damn RB running!

There are limited and lifetime memberships available for those who wish to take them.

We ask for you to state the following:

Name:Motor:Chassis:Approx. Date in which you received notice of your Non Running RB: (purchase date, or assplotion date)And a brief description in which places you in the NRRBA:As well as 1 picture showing your NRRB (optional)!!!!

Let’s keep this as a friendly environment since many here are already suffering from becoming sad stricken, depressed, suicidal, confused, chronic explosive diarrhea, and many unspoken symptoms. Please take the time and greet each other.

The President: StricNyne

I will update this first post when necessary.

T-Shirts, stickers, etc. COMING SOON

Started out with a RB20DET swap. Ended up getting caught up with the "While its apart syndrome." Now the whole car is stripped to bare metal. No nut or bolt is left unturned or replaced.

Found a RB30 block on ebay in 2004. Purchased a botched rebuilt RB26DETT to use the top end on the RB30. Of course parts were missing so I have been collecting over the years.

I have a technical question regarding membership seniority. What if you were a former member, but have since gone into Non-Running status for a time period. Do you get to rejoin the club with cumulative seniority? Or do you have to start over again from zero?

Darius, YOU ARE the reason why I subjected a line for modification to the original post.

Knowing that we had previous members such as yourself that moved on to better things, I did not start a number count such as:

NRRBA member #32

To give respect to those who were here before everyone else.

I will incorporate a Hall of fame which links back to managing member's threads of grief and struggle while maintaining a solid membership with the NRRBA.

Trouble is, you have like ten of them, lol.

Cam its alright.

I watched 240slidekat when I was going through my initial NRRBA experience, I know you had your troubles with the motor. But can't wait to see when its finished

Oh and by the way... Darius, i believe we can add an additional membership for those members such as yourself, "Seasonal Members" either it be a weekend membership, or a Summer membership which its down for a few weeks in the year, if it doesn't run, it doesn't run, lol.

Car ran from Sept 06 till July on botched wiring done by someone else.Attacked the re-wire in July, after a month of banging my head came to the conclusion that the ecu was bad, thought while I had to get a replacement ecu I would have it tuned and install my 550cc injectors, custom turbo, and Z32 MAFS.Battled the first hirtle which was finding poper injector plugs..car started fine, but idled very lean 21.4:1 so bad it was mushrooming plugs, messed with tunes and had multiple remaps done by Carl H,on his advice started looking for boost/vacum leaks, after fixing a few it came snow time right around the time when I came accross an old thread about the RX-7 injectors being slightly too short.Awaiting good weather to install Supra Lower Isolators and hopefully retire my membership...:D

When to a cruise, bs'd for a bit... next thing I know its time to leave, and start the car, well to my suprise there is a knock coming from inside and its slight at first. On the ride home the knock got worst and the knock sensor started banging off the chart... Got her home safe and started the tear down. #1 Cylinder spun a bearing... But still hit 25psi w/ knock.

lol, i have seasonal passes to this membership.

I am always taking my car down and back up weeks or a week at a time. So i come and go like a distant relative.

The car would run right now if i went to go start it and jump the battery. It needs a water pump and several other things because it hiccups and dies everywhere under load. So i need to yank the intake manifold and several things need to be re-done.

I have a Life Time Membership to the NRRBA. I am the owner of the infamous RB25 Stand Motor (sig).

Bought a RB25 (front clip) to make sure everything was there for a quick, painless swap. Paranoide of having problems in the future, I decided to put the motor on an engine stand and "slowly" replace and repair parts. Ended up tearing down the motor 3 times, pulling the head about 5 times, and had the motor ready for a complete build. I will never be able to hear that motor roar. As well, I have a RB26 that has yet to wake up.

I have to redo the inlet of it. My hks 2540 has a bigger outlet than the stocky. But I will weld in a bigger pipe and make it work.
