Car: rb25 swaped silvia 13 coupe

Post

Name: Tyler
Motor: S1 Rb25det
Chassis: Silvia S13 Coupe
Date: August 2011

I originally had an rb20det in the car and decided that the swap was terrible and took the car apart to clean everything up to my standards. In the process of doing so I sold the Rb20det to purchase an Rb25det from a friend. I got the new setup and the harness was just junk, and now I'm left with wiring issues.

How I got it

The rb20det upon tare down so UGLY....ran great though

The rb25det installed...up to my standards

How the car sits now......Not running due to a bunch of wiring BS

I am temporarily stuck here for a few more weeks. The Z is still getting painted. Cannot wait to get her running.

Guess ill join lol name is john bought RB20 motor swap in march of 2010 wiring was jacked up block was painted black and valve covers where ugly black and orange so tore down to clean up and paint all pretty. had originally planed on the motor going in a 93 pearl white hatch and changed my mind not sure why but i found a 88 creamy yellow/gray two tone that literally had nothing in it but suspension, wheels a harness dash bar and steering column and i have since been finding parts and saving this two tone. got the bay cleaned of the rust and painted early spring of 2011 and the engine painted and in the bay and have found many other things wrong with the swap. but it is now getting close as i now have a good steady career and getting bills paid off just have to find time to work on it lol.

ill try and get some pics up of it later
