Here is a link to some pictures of the car.

For those who missed the introduction, I got this 91 LE with 92,000 miles on it for $3,000. It was more of a necessity in order to get through school (had to sell my truck) but I'm extremely pleased. I could use a new clutch and some new brakes (any suggestions) but other than that, its in great shape.

Before I started visiting this board I was an ignorant nissan lover. I now have just enough knowledge to be dangerous. oooooohhhhh, the things I'm gonna do with this car!!!!

Here are the before pictures. They are pretty crappy, but you guys get the idea. So what do you think?

And the first mod made is.........................????????

No joke.... It looks like a dog got in there and did his business. Snow sucks. Its amazing the snow stopped long enough for me to get it home from the carwash yesterday!

Latrobe is outside of Pittsburg (east). Home of Arnold Palmer, Rolling Rock Beer, Steelers training camp, and Mister Rogers. great place........

do the usally, i/h/e (intake/headers/exhaust just in case you didn't know) it doesn't matter what order you get them in. if you have a lot of money just sitting around then you can just get an engine swap.

if you're planning for an sr swap, then dont do anything engine-wise unless you really need to. Just save your money for that :>

I'm going to do the sr swap. Probably in a about a year.

Since I need the new clutch, what do you guys recommend. After doing a little searching, I saw that there was a wide variety of options and you need to pick one that will handle the power you plan on achieving. Engine wise, I'm planning on putting around $6000 into this car. What kind of clutch do I need with that?

if ur goin to go sr in a while just get a factory replacement clutch for now to save money. dont buy anything for the ka (except exhuast but it will be loud) cuz u'll jsut have to sell it and you will lose money

You can cut your factory airbox if your low on funds. Theres a sticky about it at the topic of the general section.

nice car dude, hope your 240 journey is a pleasant one. If your gonna get the engine, then I would say just save up for that and go from there. but if you need to change out the clutch now, then just bite the bullet and try to keep all the car's other expenses to a minimum I guess. Good luck, that sr will be totally worth the wait and hassle.

Nebraska, the sides just come right off by pulling on either end.it comes off the metal much easeir than the front or back bumpers.

for the rear, where the stripe on the side meets the bumper, i had to take a exacto knife and get in the crevice as far as i could and cut a slit and try to get it out. once i did that i pulled off as much as i could, then i scraped the rest off with my fingernails (would be easier and faster with long nails, but i cant stand that). then i wiped any of the adhesive/residue off with a washcloth that had Goo Gone on it. you have to do that with the front too, but without the knife.

after i did that, i washed and waxed the car, because it was in desperate need of it. in the end, it looks much cleaner, and i cant even tell that there used to be a stripe there.
