Your car looks great!

I have a 2001 M37x. Did you lower your car and if so what lowering kit did you buy? Moreover, are those 20" wheels fit with the stock brakes in lieu of the sport brakes?

Thanks
Thanks and welcome. I'm lowered (modestly) on Eibachs, there's a full write in the HowTo stickys here. Yeah the 20" sport wheels will work with either standard or sport brake upgrade. I have the regular brakes still but I plan to upgrade to the bigger sport package when these start to wear out.

I just picked up my new baby on Saturday. A lovely 2011 M56x with only 8,500 miles on the odometer. I bid farewell to my 2006 M35x in the process but should have the new M for many years to come.

Well, I finally acquired a 2011 M56S yesterday, drove it back from Phoenix to Colorado. I'll get some pics when I have time. Observations;

1) I have to get used to the quick throttle response. That car goes from 0 to GO! with a tap
2) Driving for 13.5 hours in it, it really makes for a nice touring sedan
3) I will never use Eco mode
4) Once you get familiar with the nav/ent system it's very intuitive and easy to use, even while on the highway
5) The wide tires are groove hogs at times - not the first time I've experienced that
6) Steering and the ride, stock, is very nice. Good combo of sport and cruiser.
7) 20.5 says the computer for MPG, averaging about 80 MPH
8) The interior is as nice as my friends E550 IMHO

Overall, I absolutely love this car. Value wise, I cannot possibly think of what you'd get that comes close to this.

Not sure why these images aren't working. I've now tried both Onedrive and Google. Maybe post count restriction?

You need a file hosting site like Image Shack or Photobucket I believe.

You can also use a "Public" folder within Dropbox, right click on the image and select "Copy Public Link" and paste into your post.

Very nice indeed! :dblthumb: I may consider a rear deck spoiler in the future, they add a nice touch!

Yeah, I can't take credit for putting it on... but I like the look. I think visually the M56 is just about perfect... though I might add some spacers to the rear to bring the wheels out a touch.

The Q70 is just plain sexy too :)

Hey everyone! New to the m37 family. This is my 3rd infiniti (2011g and 2013 JX). Just traded in my 2012 Jeep Wrangler with 80k miles for my 2012 m37 with 19k miles for a hell of a price. Looking forward to learning from everyone here and starting my mods beginning with your awesome led light upgrade guide :)

Hi there. I live in Atlantic Canada and was loyal to Hondas in the 1980's but I fell in love with the 1989 Maxima and have stayed with Nissan ever since. I kept going with various Maximas, my last one being a 2002. Feeling that Maximas were getting too wide, I went to an Infiniti M35X, and currently have a 2006 model with 116000 miles. I usually buy cars when they are 3 or 4 years old, and are "half price", and then keep them for about five years, then repeat the cycle. I'm beginning to think of trading up to a 2011 or 2012 M37X.

I care somewhat about the color, preferring lighter shades. Also I'd prefer an M37X with beige interior - was that specific only to the white one, or did all combinations apply?
I see they made a blue M37X for 2011 but seemed to drop that color. I don't want a very dark car, so I guess I will need to go white or silver, unless the blue one comes with a beige interior.

No burning questions right now, but any advice or tips would be welcome, and it would be nice to hear from you.

Did 2012 bring any improvements over 2011?

Thank you.

Welcome. There isn't really any changes from 2011 to 2012, maybe some firmware but that can be updated. 2013 introduced sport package on M37X which was previously only available on RWD if you are looking for that option. I believe all color combos were available. When I was looking all I saw was light interiors but I was looking for dark interior. Good luck with your car hunt and let us know what you end up with.

I'm not sure if you were referring to me. But I'll comment anyway. She drives great but there's a little bit of shaking from the rear when accelerating between 20-30.
