Car: Y34 Gloria - VQ30DET 12PSi & 20"rims

Post

Well, its not quite an M, but its close enough. This is my '99 Y34 Gloria complete with VQ30DET. I bought it almost two years ago from a dude in Brisbane who had imported it and put the 20s on it. Since then, I've not done a whole lot to the car. I had custom springs made up to lower it about 30mm and raised the boost to 12PSi. That's about it.

Not a lot of plans for future mods on this one. I was recently given a work car, so the missus now drives this every day. So no to exhaust, no to custom airbox etc. I've been out of the performance industry for a few years now and do miss having crazy projects like my VH45DE Merc vh45de-280se-build-thread-t266156.html#p2812739 Starting to get the bug again. Now I just have to think about what car and what engine.

Hello, my name is Will, I'm 25 from San Francisco. I've had my 2006 M35 for almost 2 years now. My car is basically stock for now all I have done so far is 3000k fog lights, 35%tin all the way around, 2 12" JL audio subs, and staggered 20" Foose speedster wheels. Later on I plan on adding exhaust, Stereo upgrades, and upgrading wheels to 22"3 piece wheels.
These are the only pics I have right now:

Welcome to NICO!

I hope you find the M more stealthy than the Mustang (in terms of tickets, that is). :)

Hey guys, just wanted to finally introduce myself along with my 06 M45. I'm in LA, CA and just wanted to say that this forum is a great resource for anything and everything Infiniti...

She's dropped on Tein H Techs, rolling on Forgestar F14 20x9 offset 40 front and 20x10.5 offset 45 rear. Custom carbon fiber cloth re wrapped dash trim, formerly wood.

Yes me too, a lot of time a dark color will hide the body contours, I almost went with white but decided I really loved this purpley gray

Hey all, I've had my M45 for almost 6 months now. Just an Injen Short Ram intake and a Megan mid pipe for the moment. I had a G35 coupe previously that was pretty heavily modded, but definitely loving the comfort and ride of the M.

Im mostly on the G35driver forums as Alpha Ice, but its about time I got onto a more appropriate M forum :bigthumb:

Heres a pic of my G35 coupe I had before I got the M, I still miss it now and then

My name is Joe , I am in my 50's,Live on the South River which is the next river down from the Naval Academy and have been really interested/fascinated by cars since the V8 Dodge Polara that my Father had when I was in the 7th grade.

Here is the story of how I came to own an M45X
I late November, in one of the dumb stop and go type accidents on the highway, I totaled my 2007 Dodge Charger SRT 8 . Even with the big Brembos and the best tires one can get for the Charger, trying to go from 60 MPH to a full stop when the car is only one car lengtrh in front of you, I never made it. Nailed a Ram 1500 and the Air bags went off,etc.. He was okay as was me but not my poor Charger.

After owning that Charger with it's V8, I knew I could never go back to anything but a powerful V8 nor do I ever buy a brand new car because of the hit on resale value ,etc. .

I had too much TLC and power/apeareance modifications done to the Charger so I could not bring myself to buy another one. Kind of like how you spend a lot of time and effort making something the way you want but you know you can never replace it.

So, after checking out every V8 that I could afford and that I liked, I ended up at an Infiniti dealer and test drove the G37X and a 2008 M45X with 20K miles on it.

After only 10 minutes of beating the M45X up on some serious curves and having a ball with that great high Torque V8 on the highway, I was hooked and bought it.
I will get better photos since I have only had the car for a month so here is a picture I just took in the driveway of my 'new' M45X:

Here is a picture of my now deceased Charger:
Image

I like to restore old cars so this is my current 'work in progress'. It is 1970 Dodge Challenger

Image

This is the car I had before the Charger. it is a 2005 Z

Image

My daily commuter car is a 2005 Jeep Liberty whis is the only year that Jeep had a Diesel in the Liberty line. Diesels last FOREVER so I was not afraid to buy one with 58,000 miles on it. Makes me enjoy my M45X even more when I do drive it.

I have not taken any picures of it but it is in perfect shape.

Thanks for reading,
Joe

I see that this one has black headlight housing. Does the black housing come with the sport package or is it custom painted???

Beautiful car btw.

Typically the sport package adds the black headlight housing. Its most notable in the M45 Sports, but I havent seen too many of the 37s yet with the sport. Most everything up in my neck of the woods is a 37x. I do love the 56 tho!

New to the Infiniti Fam - This is my first Infiniti, my 03 M45 with 48k miles fully loaded only thing missing is the XM SAT. other than that it has it all. I wasn't to happy with the color but I bought it anyway because of the over all condition and low miles. I work for an Infiniti dealership here in Boston so I had access to all the maintance records the one owner did to it at the dealer ship he bought it and sold it back to, so i also got to see what the dealer did to it right up to when they delivered me the car. The first owner treated the car better than his kids from the records I saw. Anyway the color is now one of my favorite things now - very dif from every other car out there especially new ones.

Any Ma/Boston Area 03 M45 ers hit me up here - maybe we can exchange ideas, etc....

The day I picked it up on 2/24/11 yeah yesterday

sorry to hear that but nice change. shame there wasn't a sport version on the lot as it'd be closer to the SRT8

Hey Everyone,

My name is Tim, and I reside on the island of Oahu. I recently bought a '06 M35 S to replace my old car, a '98 Honda Prelude Base. I miss the Prelude (my first car), but I am excited to see what the M35 is capable of.

Here are pics of the Prelude and M35:
