Hey Guys, Gals,

I just signed up. I'm a mechanical engineer / project manager / shade tree mechanic currently residing in Florence SC. I'm a long time Toyota fan but am in the process of upgrading my wife's GS300 to a G37x. I bought a 2011 from the insurance auction and have it torn down, waiting on parts to rebuild etc. We've had 2 Maximas and 2 Pathfinders over the years and I expect this G will be like an upgrade to the 95 Maxima GLE that we enjoyed until 205k.

The car has 48k on it and looks to be taken care of. The only thing that doesn't look right on it is some greasy areas around the driver's side cam front. It would appear to be coming from the aluminum casting that I believe is the timing chain cover but I don't know why that would have oil in it in that area. I'm curious if these engines have something to do with VVT etc that would be leaking. Since I have the radiator and core support out, I'd like to do it now if it needs something.

Overall, I'm happy with the deal I got. It is always a risk when you are buying a car based on 8 pictures. Driver's side rail had some crumple zone and the first 2" of passenger side. Hopefully my wife likes the car when I'm done. She hasn't never driven a G35/7 but itsn't too picky. She complained when her tires were old and bald on the Lexus because it would just spin leaving a stop light, don't expect her to have that complain with the all wheel drive.

Hello to all. I just bought a 2003 Infiniti G35. Hoping to have a lot of fun with the car and to ask all the experts here if any issues pop up and maybe to get some direction on mods. Will post some pics later. Oh, and anybody on here from Utah?

Hello everyone! The end of my daughter's tuition payments are in sight, so last week I swapped my 2000 Celica GT for the 2006 G35 coupe pictured below. She has a 6-sp manual and barely 38K miles - all stock except for the wheels/tires. :-) I'm still adjusting to twice as much horsepower on tap - but that's no bad thing. Looking forward to taking advantage of the knowledge learned by other owners!

Car: 2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan Leather (83K miles)

Post

Hi. New member. First time Infiniti G35 owner.

Previous Ford Taurus SHO enthusiast.

Picked up a 2003 leather sedan two months ago in Massachusetts.

Car grew up in Washington State and S. Carolina. Only 79K on the clock when I bought her.

Up to 83K now with new tires, brakes job, and some other upgrades.

Like a goldish silver color with black interior.

Very clean car inside and out and it came with an bass amp kicker box in the truck.

New to the Infiniti family, bought a 2005 G35 about two days ago. Left my mk5 stage 2 gti. Missing her some...

Here she is,

So I do have a couple of questions:

1. This Nismo front bumper doesn't fit well apparently with my fenders.. what is the best method for fixing this. More a mechanical guy not a body fixing guy.

2. Also the yellow light on my headlights, guessing the DRL and turn signal? The right hand side headlight DRL wont come on unless i turn my blinker on. How do I fix this?

3. Also let me know if you have a full OEM or aftermarket exhaust that isnt that loud or what is a good full exhaust system that's not costly. The guy who owned this car before me took off his borla catback and made it straight pipe I think....:52:

4. Also the g35 is running a z tube and something else with a filter at the end. it makes an odd noise when you left off the throttle. Normal?

Sorry for all the questions trying to bring this g35 back to its normal glory, it stead of being riced out.

Hey guys, I'm not new to this forum but new to the G. My name is Bryan. Just picked up this 06 6mt and love it. I rarely post because there is so much good info on here already. I have had a 3 s13's: one of each coupe 5mt, hatch 5mt and convertible 4at. I have also had an 08 Z 6mt and my wife currently dailies an 03 Z 6mt. I have had my g about a month and a half and have put roughly 2k miles on it and replaced the radiator. I already have a great love for these cars. Hopefully I will be able to begin a slow build on it soon! I just have a couple more things I want to fix on her first. And if anyone would be so kind that has the FSM and would you share with me please! TIA Enough of that though, here she is!

It’s a Ten! G37 Convertible Sport thats in the shop after a deer strike. Looking for headlights for the rebuild. Understand it’s hard to find the ones with beam control. (? ) Help appreciated understanding both the Sport attributes for actuated headlights and a really decent application or upgrade. I hear just go with the D2S Xenon bulb and nothing else.

Hi everyone, I have partially jumped ship away from German cars. Just picked up a 2005 G35 coupe, my wife however has been driving Infiniti's and purchased new a G37 back in 2011. In my adult life, I have only driven German -- BMW, Mercedes and most recently an Audi A4 S-line convertible....; however in this covid era, with auto parts shortages, delays and issues, my A4 has been been in the shop since October! so I purchase a new daily driver and I'm looking forward to learning more about the car, getting advice on subtle modifications, and building her into a daily driving beast... at 100 miles per month haha

Custom front bumpekr?, Had it tuned ( with Maps and Tune pipes, instead of Cats ), larger Throttle body , spacer and custom cold air intake, so far. He wants to make it into a car he can drive at times, and Show ( He's saving for the custom paint job or wrap now )

Howdy all, been a while again.........life is just always busy. Picked up a 2013 g37xs in RED! Love it, had 77k miles and certainly a step up from my normal Altima vehicles I've owned over the years. Different feel with the drivetrain, first AWD I've ever owned but man it's sure quick off the line. Been debating about intakes but seems not quite what I'm looking for, more headache than it's worth? I may do an exhaust but the stock seems plenty for now, already have the Maxima A34 Nismo rims that are waiting to be installed once the new tires I got on the 18's wear out. Not to much planned but hopefully I can get pics up soon. Loving the ride!

it's old and it leaks and burns oil but it's still kickin butt so i decided to make it look cool. there's a hole in the exhaust so it's loud too haha.
