Got some overnight parts from japan (coz is in japan, right???) coming for this weekend so we can hopefully finish prepping the chassis and make room for the new smile factory in there.

I just read ash's build-up article and I must say, this project pales in comparison lol. I think we spent as much time building up the engine as he did making his own rad caps. crazy guy.

weekend updates!! (hold up for descriptions..)

Here's the engine, just before the flywheel/clutch/tranny goes on:

Sorry silverTwin, I know initially i said I wasn't going to use these off the old clip, but the ssqv's fit in perfectly and they shined up very nicely.

Fuel pump is changed + the fuel controller.

I didn't parts-wash the intercoolers because they pressure tested and flow tested fine and I didn't want to risk it...

And here is how she stands now, awaiting her new powerplant.

Engine will be in this weekend -- probably on friday. Then we hook everything up and start it... then on to brakes/suspension and some gauges etc.

funny a** story, i hooked the windshield washer fluid hose up to the manifold vacuum line and emptied my entire tank LOL cheap mans water injection. not bad though, started on the first shot -- we had some issues with fuel lines but all was good.

Little bit of oil leakage from behind the vtc's for some reason... anybody know what this could be due to?

Ok, got the 'running on 5 cylinders' fixed... was an improperly seated injector...

Now, its retardedly fast. I'll have some vids and some pics to demonstrate

I have to get an air/fuel controller, anybody know of a good one?

Here's a bad 0-60 run with nothing but wheelspin and slow shifts

Holy s*** TG, looked like a LOT more than 60!Reminds me of one night coming home from playing pool, and this Skyline went by my Z31 I used to have and through traffic...long story short I stayed with him until cars cleared, and he let me go by at 90 but then just disappeared in about 2 seconds...I think you'd be gone in less than that in that glorious Z you have!

Oh, and unlike some who've posted I LOVE the widebody idea as wide meats remind me of my past Mustang big-block GTA days where the wider the meats, the faster you go via less/no wheelspin! Can't wait to see your finished product!

0-60 in 5 seconds? (considering the faults)Congratulations. I wish to own one as fast some day.
