great update! the motor is looking great. you'll finish even faster with the proper volleyball... also, nice SRT-8! so, we have the same idea going here... only difference is, my Z is a slow NA and my Jeep is a cherokee with 235,000 MILES on it.

I'll be on it this weekend -- should be 100% done engine work by then and we'll pull the NA in to get her powerplant out.

so what is your goal? I just saw someone selling his widebody Z with nicely mod ones for 10k. IMHO. I would buy that Z instead of upgrading current one and spend lest of 20k on something else...

The irresponsibility of the automotive-related spending in this thread is positively delicious!! If we ever meet face to face I am buying you a beer.

Keep it up! You are an inspiration to us all!

Simply amazing. I would love to have a work bench covered in new parts like that. Not really a fan of the huge rims in the back, but very very nice build. Definetly want to see the after pictures on this one.

Agreed.

Its not yours till you've ripped it apart and put it back together again.

same reason I didn't buy the $80,000 audi instead.

something to be said for building your own car from the ground up. I'd have some serious doubts about a $10k widebody z that wont light on fire when you drive off with it.

Everything together on the engine now so from here on in it is swap + brakes/suspension/interior/widebody

We also did the whole doors -- fixed the rails and sliders and changed the door mouldings -- looks alot cleaner and the windows roll up/down properly now hehe. Changed some interior panels too... its worth noting that the ebrake/ashtray panel and the stereo bezel are USDM/JDM dependant, so you cannot fit the usdm stereo bezel on the jdm dash...

Here she is sitting pretty...

Its on page 1:

19x12.5 +0 in the rear and 19x9 +30 front. 315/25/19 R - 255/30/19 F In hindsight the rear tires should be 335's as they are quite tapered with 315's but that requires stepping up to much pricier pirellis to get that size instead of my advans which i'm very happy with in the quality/price arena.

no spacers in the rear + flared fenders and possibly 5mm spacers in the front if I want to run hard negative camber and remain tucked.

All I have to say is wow!

I read this entire thread and you have one incredible 300zx TT going on.

I am way more impressed with individuals, who can do all their own work and create something like this as well as bank roll it.
