testing the ca18det dropping resistor

hi, i have been testing my dropping resistor to see if its working properly according to the manual - my car is having spluttering problem only on cold start. its meant to have resistance of 6 ohms. i tested each of the 4 pins and got ~6.4 for each one. so im guessing its working properly.

what id like to know though, is those ppl who have changed over their dropping resistor to a new one, did u guys check the reistance of the old one? was it giving back odd results?
