If I was going to war, taking a rained out trail up a mountain, crossing the continental divide in Montana,
I`d buy the Forester.
I like the Rouge over the Forester because:
Styling inside and out!! My 2009 Caravan has more style on both fronts.
LED running lights
Automatic headlights
Nicer wheels
Side mirror lane change blinkers
Full size spare- I love that!
Better radio and electronics- Nissan connect intergrates with my smartphone.
Automatic dual zone climate control!!
Tire pressure readout by tire.
Sliding 2nd row seats
More storage in back
Better seats.
Rogue is 1 inch wider, but it feels much more than that
More storage in center consule and glove box
And finally- keyless entry and start. Love it!

What is the official 0-60 time?
One review on YouTube said 9.1. Pretty slooow.
Today I told the Subaru dealer that I was passing on the Forester and that I will be buying a Rogue in a few days.
I'm happy with the price I negotiated- so far. Still working on it.
I was set on the Forester for 3 months and changed my mind with one test drive.
Over the Forester? What about the Rogue made you change your mind? I can almost guarantee that the forester is of better build quality and will outlast the Rogur in the longrun (10+ years)
I agree that the Forester is unbreakable, take it to war with you.
Everything on the 2014 Rogue is latest tech.
And it has a full size spare- unavailable in a Forester.
Take a look at standard features Rogue SV vs a Forester2.5 premium. No contest.
Extra or not available on the Forester:
LED running lights
Auto headlights
Spoiler
Larger trunk with storage options
Better seats
Larger center storage under armrest
Larger glove box
Better radio and electronics
Nissan connect
The Forester has less style than my 2009 Caravan
Beautiful interior with LED lightning
Sold!

Monday March 3'rd my dealer called me saying that a Graphite Blue SL AWD just arrived, that afternoon it was mine. It feels good to be in another Rogue and this new one is really impressive. The interior almost mirrors my 2013 Altima and the build quality is just as high. Mine came with just about every available option including some I don't need like the roof rack crossbars. The illuminated kick plates are nice and I got use to them on my Altima. The LED headlights are fantastic and even brighter than the HIDs I was use to. Nissan has been building these for 6 months now so hopefully any issues they encountered in the production start up have been rectified. My only beef so far is that tan rubber floor mats are not available only black which clashes with the tan carpeting.
