My main question is how much custom motor mount stuff do you need to do to a 210?Or, rather, is there such a thing as an "easy" turbo swap for this car? My guess in no.
RB would be very tight. I don't think it would fit without modifying the firewall, but I haven't ever measured so I can't say for sure.

Bandit240 told me one time that the exhaust manifold from a Nissan forklift (which I think uses the A12P) will fit on the regular A block upside down with room to mount a turbo...or something like that. I don't remember the specifics. I think he said a guy in Australia had done it.

Well that is pretty interesting. I am going to do a little research and tightly measure my engine bay.

Cool man, I had an '81 210 with the A15 motor in it. Sold it earlier this year to a coworker (so I still see it sometimes when he brings it to work)! But if you ever have any questions on that car, let me know, because I know them pretty well.

I rebuilt my A15 after the rings were shot and blew a head gasket. But I considered doing either an SR or CA swap instead. Anyway, nice to meet another B310 owner! (or well, at least I was up until a few months ago)
i think my 81' datsun 210 has an 1.5 liter motor

i was born and raised around datsuns. my dad has had 50+ datsuns over the years so naturally after being around them, i got hooked. he still currently has 5 datsuns right now. i bought my first datsun when i was 10. it was a '64 NL320 that i paid $50 for it. i still have it and am in the process of rebuilding it. my second car was when i was 14. it was a '77 280z that i paid $125 for. i got it running and when i got my license, i started driving it but my parents insurance said i couldnt drive it due to it being a sports car and had to sell it. i owned quite a few other vehicles over the years then i bought a '72 510 a couple years ago. it was a total rust bucket and got rid of it early this year. at the time i bought a '64 L320 and got it going and have been showing it all this year. early summer i also bought a '72 1200 coupe for $100 and it has now become my daily driver.

heres my current vehicles

I guess it all started whith my moms 2nd, i grew up along with that car it was a Nissan 200SX CS110 i believe. it was a model before the S12.color was silver-bluish, MT. My mother bought another Silvia but this time it was a S12, Gold with mesh wheels it was a coupe, at first i didnt think much of it but as i grew and when i got into middle school i started to like Nissan alot... i knew somewhat about nissan alot, i was thinking of the Skyline R32, R33, and R34 before no one knew about it.

I started to like the Silvia Series alot and became a huge fan of it. At the time the S15 was out but i didnt like it as much as the S12 and S14, there was a phase in my life where i loved the Silvia S12 along with the Skyline R33. Soon after this my mom Blew the S12's Engine on the Freeway. i felt mad at my mom for doing so, yet sad that i lost something that i loved(cuz you know "I" aint getting a GTR in the US). I yelled at my mom to go get the S12 from the Junk yard... but the engine was gone and it was all chared from the fire. But little did my mother know i had other plans for the Body of the S12.

well anyways after that i alone became a great Nissan Lover, and Hated Honda's for some reason .

At school my friends and alot of ppl would call me Nismo and still do, my Girlfriend calls me that to this day.

well around the age of 16 or 17 i really got into the Z series such as the Z31 and S30... i played video games and loved it even more, i would bug my father on getting me a car for school or something... so i sent him post from craigs list, Months later we went to some guys house (Stevens) and i bought a 280Z from him. U got the Z in my garage and im slowly working on it trying to fix it im 18 now well my story isnt much but here it is

My name is Nick, im 21 years old and im new to the datsun/nissan world. While im not new to cars, i grew up in a race shop. My dad built some of the fastest drag cars in montana in the 70's and 80's and has since slowly got out of racing. I grew up around big engines and big power but i was always drawn towards imports. My first car was a 1998 Supra TT. I had it for 2 weeks and my dad took it away from me. I almost went to jail at 15 years old becuase of it. My next car was an 86 toyota celica GT and to this day will always be my favorite of all my cars. I learned everything i know about imports becuase of this car. I regretfully sold it and had a few other 4th gen celicas until i finally settled on my 88 celica GT4. Now for the datsun. I got my 1980 datsun 310GX about a month ago at an auction at work. The guy brought it in to have the oil pan replaced and never came back to pick it up. I got it for 150 bucks. Anyhow sofar its been an awesome little car, runs good gets KILLER gas mileage! Its my first old school import so i plan on making it a little track beast. Ive grown to really enjoy datsuns even though toyotas will always be my ride of choice. Ive always wanted a 240z as well!Sorry for the long winded-ness

Only a couple of pages of postings and this thread has been here for four years? Are we Datsun lovers a dying breed? As for me, my passion has always been 210's. I have owned four of them and sadly, the last one was stolen over the summer. If i could find a body that wasn't eaten up with cancer, I'd buy it today and fix it up. That's one really good thing about them. They are cheap to buy and cheap to fix (carbeurators not included). I'll check through my albums but I'm pretty sure the ex got all my pics.

HEy my name is Ryan and i just entered the datsun/nissan world. i started with domestic Small block chevys. then went turbo. never looked back. i have since owned alot of cars but my favorites were a 2nd gen TSi AWD and a 1st Gen TSi AWD.

Now i just picked up a 1972 Datsun 510 4door. its already got a KA24E swap in it but it has rod knock. so im looking for another KA24E motor to replace it before i get the cash for a SR swap. it also has recaro seat, full suspension w/ camber plates, subaru LSD, and some custom ugly exhaust.

so here are some pics. i picked it up for a steal and its going to be an on going project for me.

enjoy

My first datson is my 71 510 4 door.Pics to come.I bought it from a freind for 200$who only paid for towing to his house. Its in great shape original stickers still under hood.It had an L20b in it but its in the middle of a vg30te transplant.Im going to put the turbo in the back and use it for a muffler also.It gives it more time for cooling and keeps under the hood temp down.My 2nd is a 1992 300z 50th anniversery that i got from the same freind who needed a place to keep it and eventually became mine.He just happened to run it into a dumpster a couple hours before dropping it off at my house pretty sure the frame is tweaked at the front pillar.Glass looks like its going to pop out.So thats where i got the vg.he abused this car so bad it had 35000 og miles when he got it and didnt put many more on it.Plus his brother drove it through a brick wall.Funny that only left scratches compared to the dumpster.Plus he over heated it several times Sorry for your loss Azhitman she went way to young. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Damn man, what'd I do to you?

I know how much the POS carbs from AutoZone are. I tried that route and they suck...bad. At the time, i couldn't afford a carb from Nissan (they were almost $700.00). I ended up rebuilding the original one with a Nissan carb kit and it outperformed the rebuilt one. If you really do know anything about Datsuns, you are aware that you can no longer get a carb for this car from Nissan. So, there is no proof of price. Just my memory of saying WTF? when they told me the price several years ago.
A good rebuilt carb is a good option - i would say it would be a bit more thru nissan.

I mainly like the old 510's

got any pics of the 210's? Would like to see some

i am new to this forum and am glad to tell you some about myself.i bought my 1974 Datsun 260z just a few months ago for a little over a grand. it has very little rust and runs pretty good for how old it is. i bought this car because i am taking an automotive/management class at an University and i needed a project car. now that i have it i am an Z car enthusiast. my car came with 3 weber carburetors that i plan on eventually switching to fuel injection.i don't have a thread right now, may have one in the future but i am not really the kind of guy who would constantly update it. so i am, for the moment, mainly trying to glean some knowledge.

Well my first Datsun was while in HS, a 73 510 that I proptly wrecked hot dogging on a dirt road. I just crumpled the drivers fender and moved the front bumper about a foot towards the passenger side. I then moved onto an 82 200sx my senior year, a 84 200sx when I was a junior in college, a 84 300zx NA my second year out of college, then my current cars a prestine 95 300zxTT, a 67 Datsun Roadster 1600, 2008 Rouge and of course a 2007 Quest. I'm currently looking to buy and restore a 67 Patrol.
