Yesterday I stopped at Chick-fil-a and got a large tea. I was pulling out of the driveway and was at a traffic light at a very busy intersection. I thought I had plenty of time to put my 4 Splendas in. WRONG! The light changed and I dropped the lid and it went between my seat and console. I had to take off. Of course the driveway had a little drop and I had to turn left so what happened??? The car tossed side to side. I had about an inch of tea in my passenger seat.   Too much traffic to do much other than reach in the console and grab about 10 napkins and throw on it. My seats are cloth and I really don't know how much damage was done. I'll look at it more this weekend.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why you shouldn't drink and drive.

Sorry to hear that. At least it wasn't hot tea on your lap. ;) If the leather isn't perforated, you should be ok. Just detail the seat.

It's cloth, but not an absorbent cloth. The tea was just sitting there. Most of the residue there is lint off the napkins. I bet if I wipe it down good with a clean lint free cloth I will be OK. I don't think much made it down into the foam.

This is so totally unlike me. I can't remember the last time I had a spill in a car.

A good steam clean should get the seat back to where it was before the spill. My wife hates riding with me. No eating or drinking in the cars. Except for our son..But his seat is covered. ;)

Indeed. :lolling:

Be glad it wasn't a milk shake... you'd be taking the seat out to stop the sour milk smell!

Oh SVT, remember...I'm the one on the Sensa! BTW, I told y'all I would report back on that (thread-jacker...thread-jacker). It really does work. Not a magic dust, but a great crutch. I have lost 9 pounds (which is very hard for a 57 year old woman) and have 4 more to go. YEE HAW!!! I need to dip a little under my goal 'cause I'm going to New Orleans in a month and I will be pigging out. Beignets.....seafood.....hurricanes! Oops, now I made myself hungry. :squint:

The first day at my current job I was driving to a nearby city to meet the salesman I support and a customer. On the way I stopped and grabbed a cappuccino (20oz Styrofoam cup). The cup would not fit in the normal cup holder of the car I was driving so I popped the console open and set it in the hole.........there happened to be a lapel pin on the bottom without its backing and it put a gash in the bottom of the cup. I was holding the cup while driving and felt warmth, looked down and my right leg and crotch was soaking with cappuccino. Yes, I was wearing light-cream kkaki pants :(

What a great first impression....

OK Aud, that is just LOL funny. :chuckle:

BTW, follow up on the tea, I got my Absorber all clean and wrung out and it took the white lint off. There is no way you can tell there was ever a spill. Thank God for black interiors. ;)
