Help, I'm replacing the timing chain on my 2015 Sentra. I thought I had it at TDC, but after I put the timing chain cover back on the crank pulley won't rotate the full 360 degrees. I had the cams in the position it shows in the manual, but I guess they hit that position without it being TDC. So I took the chain back off, but how can I get to TDC with the timing chain off? Does anyone know?

You were probably on TDC but 180 degrees out on the cam, at the top of #1's exhaust stroke instead of the power stroke. Remember the crank makes 2 revolutions for every 1 rev on the cam.

PS - Once you get it right, use zip ties around the main chain to keep the cams from jumping until you're ready to pop the pin on the tensioner. Once you're ready to spin it, pull the fuel pump fuse and crank it dry for about 30 seconds to pump up oil pressure in the tensioner. Then reinstall the fuse and let it start.

PPS- You didn't mention why you're changing the chain. If the old one broke or jumped while the engine was running above idle, there's a very good chance you bent a valve and that's why it won't complete a rotation.
