Anybody used this devise or local analog? It is look nice. Big plus no drilling required. Unfortunately I can’t find any feedback information or review.

Welcome to the forum!

This sensor is from the UK. I doubt there are many if any installed here in North America. The only information I could find said the biggest issue is the car or the obstacle has to be constantly moving for it to work.

At some point, I'm going to get my single sensor ultrasonic unit installed. The sensor itself is surface mounted so it technically should not need any holes drilled.

Good luck!

Remember, Philipa, you've got to get to the reversing lights wiring and they're located on the liftgate. Maybe it could be done without drilling, but I don't see how.

I've just been way too busy investigate. Hopefully this weekend I will have some spare time to get it done.

The reverse light wiring comes back down the drivers side C pillar by the tail light. This would allow installation on the bumper, perhaps at the bottom edge using a small bracket?

The other option is to disassemble the license plate lights and use same hole as the existing wiring (keepin the lights of course). I would then run the wire behind the plate and mount on the sensor on the plate's lower edge without drilling holes. Only problem is you would see 1" of wiring between the light and the top of the plate.

I really want to avoid drilling holes. They use lots of road salt around here during the winter and any holes will be prone to corrosion unless they are painted very well and checked regularly.
