OK, SO I AM 6'3" AND I DIDN'T GET THE PACKAGE WITH THE EXTENDED SEAT. WHEN I WENT ON THE TEST DRIVE, THE VEHICLE FELT COMFORTABLE ENOUGH, BUT NOW WHEN I AM DRIVING LONG DISTANCES OR STUCK IN TRAFFIC, MY BACK IS KILLING ME BECAUSE THERE IS NO THIGH SUPPORT. THE SEAT BARELY TILTS TO PROVIDE ANY SUPPORT. ANYONE HAVE THIS PROBLEM? WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS? DEAL WITH IT? IS THE EXTENDED SEAT A TOTALLY DIFFERENT SEAT OR IS THERE AN ATTACHMENT I CAN BUY. I AM LEASING THIS VEHICLE. ANY RESPONSES WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS!

Have you looked at or ried out the extended seat? I was actually unaware there was an extended seat. I'm not sure of the exact difference myself. I would guess it isn't going to be ab add-on though. Are you sure it's not lateral thigh support?

As a suggestion, you might try making sure your left leg can reach the dead pedal with your back correctly against the seatback. Then actually use the dead pedal by bracing lightly against it. This will give a you a very well supported seating position. Using the dead pedal is actually recommended for performance driving as well as it keeps you in the seat more firmly. A proper dead pedal is not just a place to put your foot. It's actually intended to be a functional piece.

well, my back is not great to begin with, so that is partly the problem. i had the 2002 maxima for 5 years and it was one of the best seats i ever sat in. i think the biggest problem now is that the g35 seat is just so much smaller than the maxima seat that i am used to.

the lumbar doesn't do much for thigh support. the seat would be so much better if the part you sat on tilted upward a little more so you could slide back in the seat more instead of feeling like you are falling forward. i've messed with the positions a gazillion times and no matter what i can't get truly comfortable. i love the car to death, but this is a little disheartening.

i guess i will learn to deal with it.
