I need your help guys finding out something. I was reading around the forum that the Takeda Short Intake requires some modifications to fit the passenger side. one of them is the vacuum hose needing to be a lil longer. other people say that I don't have to get anything else at all.

Do you guys know the size of the hose and diameter? I'm at work and don't have that much time to search but I will appreciate if someone can find that information for me! I want to get it just in case I have to use it since I will be installing late at night and everything will be close

I did the install that same day late at night and I can tell you a few things. the hoses you get are too short for our cars so you need to get a long one and cut it to fit. you will also need one or two elbow hose fittings since the house will bent due to the angle. I ended up using one on the pass side and I re-used a hose from the factory intake on the driver side. on the pass side you need to shave off a lil bit of the bracket that holds the intake in place since we have a screw that gets on the way right next to were it mounts.

i would suggest also not to use the intake couplers that you get with the kit and use longer ones to fit better since the ones that come with just barely fit, oh and this is really stupid from them but the couplers and intakes come lubricated like a mofo and you need to wash all that oil off since everything will slide off as you tight them.

This intake is made for a G37 but it will def fit out M37's changing what i told you. the install will take you like 30 mins or less if you have the right parts.

Now on to the good news, the intake is good! it fits nice and does make a difference. idle and low speeds you can't hear it much but give it gas and DAMN! it comes to life and sounds amazing. now ECO mode is not as boring and or feels slow anymore. on Sport the car is more responsive. Midrange power got the best of it and you can tell.

On to my next mods, in two weeks or less my full Stillen exhaust system will come in the mail and I'm matching it with Invidia High-Flow Catalytic Converters. I'm excited to see how the full system will sound and feel along with the intakes that i can't wait. I also need to find a place that can Tune my M37 here in Illinois if you guys can help me with that :)

Would be nice if the tunerzstore made a kit with the modifications needed to fit the m37.

Good info for those looking to do this install. I didn't have all the same issues but the pass side hose was a little feisty. Combined with the exhaust and HFCs it'll sound great!

I have been following this thread. I took a look at the issues with the install. I went over to the afe website as well as the tunerzstore site. The afe site has a kit got the q50. I can't say for sure. It looks like it may work in the m37. I'm just guessing. What do you guys think?

is the one that connect to the stock air box? that doesnt make sense why they would make that why have a short ram inside the air box?! just restricting the air. the one for the g37 fits the m37 with a little modding .

I highly doubt it will bolt on like it does the M37, you will most likely have to do some pipe trimming and mount tweaking to get these to fit the V8 engine.

Did you guys get the service engine light on after the install? I got it but can't check what code is it until i get off from work. Last night after the install it was fine. Drove like 30 miles but this morning i got it.

Car sounds great though!
