Hey everyone, this is Fastboatman29212 (FBM for short). It's time for a quiz, so put on your thinking caps! :werd:

I have not posted much lately because I was working on my boat. But this week was different!

Examine the pic below and then answer the quiz question. The winner of this contest will be the person who gives the BEST answer. I am the only judge and my decision is final. :rotfl

Quiz Question: What is FBM up to this week?

A. He's rebuilding his Hitachi carb.
B. He's gonna install a Weber carb.
C. Someone stole his carb and he's on a manhunt to find the crook.
D. He's parting out the only truck he ever loved.
E. Some clever answer of your own.

I will need at least 10 replies before I announce the winner. The prize will be the admiration of all of your fellow minitruck owners.

True, I hinted. But could I find a carb kit? . . . at a reasonable price? . . . do I have the time? Maybe I'm using reverse psychology here????

E) You rebuilt the Hitachi and found some extra nuts left over so you threw them back into the carb after you installed it only to realize you figured out where they went and therefore removed the carb, again, to retrieve nuts from inside the intake somewhere.

Thats what I was always taught. Got extra parts at the end of a rebuild? Just throw `em in the carburetor, they`ll find their way lol :lolling: J/K of course. I was just trying to give ya the BEST answer

Even though you seem to be totally against ditching hoses and converting to a weber.. I'll go out on a limb and say B) He's gonna install a Weber carb.

Man I'm vex my net was down. The answer I had was that you turboed and inatalled the carb by the battery and is fabricating the piping to the manifold for a draw through application. :dance

after this post finter I spent days researching turbo carbs man is it alot to go through. what I came to is its way to expensive to turbo a carb! furthermore if you are going to turbo a carb be really careful about your timing!
