tach hook up

this sounds like an easy question, but i was wondering if anyone knows the wire and were to tap into to get a signal for a moster tack. thanks for the time.

Depends on the year of your car. i have a 95 KA. In my Chiltons (get one, its the bible for your car) it says its pin 3, yellow/red wire off the ECM for 240s 95-98. in a 93-94, its pin 2 of the same color. Hope this helps.

And by the way, please, just go with a shift light. Unless your tach is shot, stay away from the ricey clock-sized tachs, its cleaner....just my opinion

How do you just install the shift light without the tach. Do you connect it to the same wire in the ecu?

get a stand alone shift light with 'pill' inserts that have different set RPMs to trigger the light.

ok i got a used monster tach from a friend for free. Now I want to use the shift light only cause I hate how the tach looks, what part will I need to take out besides the shift light and how do I make that work?
